Classroom Schedules

Infant Room 1
Infants eat and nap according to their schedules provided by parents.
Teachers schedule "tummy time" throughout the day for infants.
Christian music and nursery rhymes are played continuously throughout the day.
Teachers provide reading time for infants during floor play and one-on-one.

Model folding of hands.  Sign language:  Cookie, juice, please, Thank You, and more.  Add a sign every week.

Diaper Change & Clean Hands

Place children in cribs.  Leave one child on floor to play (rotate each child throughout the day).  Play video while changing diapers.  During diapering talk about body parts, such as; eyes, nose, and mouth, etc., clean faces and noses.

Snack & Diaper Change

Place children at the table and provide their snack.  As each child completes their snack begin diaper changing.  Play video of Farm Animals while changing diapers.  During diapering talk about body parts, such as; eyes, nose, and mouth, etc.  Clean faces and noses.

Table Time

Table toys and rotate around table teaching the concept of sharing.

 

 

10:45 – 11:00

Prepare for Lunch

 

Put on bibs and say blessing.  Model for children the blessing.

Lunch

Introduce foods.  Practice sign language.  Wash hands and face at sink after eating.  Sing the alphabet song.  Place children in cribs and pace until children are asleep.

 

11:30 – 1:30

Nap Time

 

Clean toys, cribs, table and chair, cubbies, garbage can, sink and hardware.   Update Grams.

To include placing balls on floor and let children roll and throw balls.  Music and puppets.

Tunnel and/or Climber Play

Encourage child to climb and slide on climber.  Encourage child to crawl through tunnel.  Play a peek-a-boo game with them as they climb through climber.  Be creative.

 

 

3:00 – 3:30

Imaginative Play

Dolls and mirrors.  Hiding objects and letting the toddlers find them (object permanence).   Building blocks. (Introduce colors, tall and short)

 

4:00 - 4:15

Story Time and Flash Cards

Be creative when reading.  If you are showing an animal flash card, make the sound that the animal makes.  For example, if you are showing a duck flash card make the duck sound.

4:15 – 4:45

Prepare children for parent pick-up and make sure they have clean clothes and clean faces.

 

Merge with Infant Room only if applicable.

 

 

NOTE:  Children are to have on clean clothes and clean faces at all times.
